To Come,..

I have been thinking about.... moving out of Utah.
It will not be for a while,.. meaning not for about a year.
However, It has been something I have been thinking about.

Now, the question is where???

Well, to start off, I need mountains!! When I visit mountain-less states I have no sense of direction and I just feel weird, like something is missing. Mountains are a must!! Hiking, Camping, Photography, Animal watching, and Exploring!!!

I love watching Ocean nature programs! Marine Biology was my favorite subject in school. I love scuba diving and all the water sports, I have so far tried. I have never lived near an ocean, but I believe I would love living near the ocean. Swimming, Scuba Diving, Boating, Water Skiing, Exploring!!

Some place with a lot of sun,.. I love warmer weather,.. about 70-90 degrees all year!! :)

Ohhh I got it!! How about....

The Punishment of Dave!

This is Hilarious,...

This morning, I found a Cherry Coke on my desk,.. odd,.. but I just pushed it aside and did not think much of it. Dave, My supervisor, who also sits right next to me, picked up the coke and asked me, if I had put it on his desk this morning?? Ah, so that's why it was on my desk...
Apparently, someone has been leaving random soda's on his desk. He ranted about the anonymous soda gifts for about a min or two,.. half of which I tuned out so I am not really able to give exact quotes here.

~Any who, after Dave left work today, I happened to walk past an empty desk, and on this desk sat a can of Mountain Dew. The brat that I am decided to pick it up and place it on Dave's desk,.. HE HE HE. After his morning rant, I couldn't help it.

Dave ended up popping back to work unexpectedly and saw the can of Mountain Dew on his desk!! .. Again, he ranted!! I tuned this out as well, however it was something like "See!! why are they doing this?, It's a different Soda every time!" or something like that.

Well,... I not being the type to let things drop, I got the whole team to help me place sodas on his desk. OH I crack myself up!!

2009 Resolutions, starting Now!!

I can sum up the year 2008 in one word CHANGE! It has been bad change, change that felt bad even though it was really for the best and good change. Either way there was a lot of it, and change can be stressful when you resist it the way I do. It has been a stressful year and I am actually glad it will be over,.. I hope 2009 will be a little more comfortable and stagnate. I however know this will not be the case as I have goals in place for 2009 which involve yet again major change.

I plan on selling my Townhome and moving into an apartment. This will cut my housing costs in half and will give me a nice chunk of equity. I am taking this plan slow, the market is slow and I would like top dollar. I have set the target date to be ready to list by March 2009, hopefully the economy has turned around a bit. Once listed who knows how long it will be on the market before it actually sells. I have some more painting before it looks top notch,.. I love decorating!

I plan on selling my car and this goal is dependant on the sell of the Townhome. I plan on taking the equity and spending 2-4k to buy an older outright. This will save me a $300 car payment and will lower my insurance rates.

Another major goal for 2009 is physically I want to be healthy and strong. I have started the P90X program, Amazing and WOW, hard. I have had to work up to being able to do the full weekly program, even now I get really excited when I accomplish the whole video. I am getting less sore and I am starting to have a lot more energy. I have also changed my diet to exclude “junk food” Soda, sugar and hydrogenated oil. <> I have added multi vitamins, vitamin C, more water, Omega 3 oils and whole live foods to my diet. Finding new products daily,.. new find apple cider vinegar, I will Blog about it, if I see a big result.

2009 Goals Summary

  • Financially: Be 100% out of debt and have $500 a month for savings or investments.

  • Physically: Be in the best shape I have ever been in my life, workout 5x a week, eat healthy wholesome foods, 80oz of water a day, monthly cleanses and good sleep.
  • Mentally: Finish my Associates Degree. Start school for web design, interior design or photography.
  • Spiritually: Church at least 3x a month (sometimes I have to work) Read 20 min 5x a week the BOM or another spiritual based book. Say nightly and morning prayers.
  • Creativity: Once a week work on writing my book Everyday Ordinary.
  • Friends & Family: Connect with a different member of my family 3x a week. Hang out with a different friend 5x a month. Update my Blog bi-weekly.
  • Travel: I will have at least 2, 5 -10 day vacations in 2009.
  • ME: Love myself everyday, budget for the cutest cloths and make sure I give myself opportunities to grow, explore, create and have fun!!

2008 The Year of Change!

I dread change and yet I have also learned to respect it. This year there has been so much change in my life.

I have had financial difficulties, which I learned money is not everything. I can survive without it,.. but it's funner to have it. I now have a plan to be 100% out of debit by July 2009 and have a nice chunk of extra mula with every paycheck.

I ended a bad relationship, which I learned the guy does not define me. I am an amazing girl and guys are way lucky to hang with me. I am totally hot and way fun and not cocky at all, lol. But I am not yet ready to commit to anyone new. Maybe after I get to know myself a little more.

I got a promotion at work as Lead, then... my team got merged, then... the team did not need me any longer, so I moved to a new department and team,.. and now... well this part is still a secret but I am not exactly happy for the change. I am still deciding what I have learned or am learning with this. Right now I am frustrated.

Oh and here is a surprise for those who know me well. I am going back to church! I have started reading the Book of Mormon and I am feeling really good about this choice.

Diamond Hot Springs

This weekend my adventurous friends and our sometimes obedient canines and I, set off to Diamond Hot Springs! Diamond Hot Springs is located in the Uinta Mountains in Spanish Fork Canyon. The reward at the end of this hike is a relaxing dip in a hot spring. Be warned if you choose to hike Diamond Hot Springs, nude bathers frequent this spot. Yikes!

Jody, Tony, Brittainy and I started off with a great breakfast. Fresh squeezed apple juice, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast and cinnamon rolls. We decided to carpool, I have a CRV and the three dogs fit nicely in the back. This however does not stop Jax from whining the majority of the way, he gets so annoyingly excited.

We arrived at the trail head, Third Water spring or something like that. I was happy to discover the weather was warmer then we were anticipating. It was sprinkling a little while driving up and though I don't mind being in the rain, I was a little worried about being cold.

The hike was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, no rain and perfect light jacket weather. The river was running fast, but that did not stop us from throwing Ty in. Jody and I did this hike a year ago and taught Jax to swim by throwing him in the river. This year was Ty's turn! Ty screamed like a banshee, but he learned to swim!! By the end of the hike Ty was voluntarily getting into the water all by his self.

Bear is my beloved godson and canine son of the Nelsons (Brittainy and Tony). Bear loves, loves, loves sticks and water. Needless to say he was in heaven in the woods next to a river.

Before you arrive at the hot springs you can smell the sulfur from the hotsprings. Who would have thought you would get excited to smell something so gross. When we arrived there were probably about 25 people already there. (I had never seen it so busy) Well, I knew there were more Springs above the falls so I direct our party onward. It took awhile to find the two additional pools, and once we did we had to cross via a make shift bridge (a.k.a a 2x4 and a tree log).

Once at the pools, I regretted not wearing my swimsuit underneith my hiking cloths (smart Brittainy). Now, I had to find a private area to change and the only private area I saw was up a very muddy hill. I struggled up the hill and I was almost at the top of the hill when and I grabbed a tree root,.. Opps!! The root snapped and I slid back down to the bottom (screaming the whole way down, of course).

Finally, I made it up the hill and into my swimsuit. Now the challange was to get back down the hill. I had a brilliant idea which was to throw my shoes down as it would lighten my load. This proved to be a really, really bad idea!! One of my shoes bounced and rolled right into the raging river! OHH CRAP!!! Jody, tried in vain to find my shoe but had no luck. There I was, about 2.5 miles up the canyon with only one shoe.

The hot spring was well worth it! It felt amazing! With the sound of the river rushing by and a light sprinkle of rain which had just started, I could have fell asleep right there.

The way down the canyon was rough with only one shoe. Jody let me have his two socks and I put both of my socks on my right foot. I also filled the last sock with grass and moss in hopes to add padding. For the most part it wasn't bad, although occassionally I would step on a sharp rock. I can not express how happy I was to see the car!! I will never again take my shoes or shoe for grantit.

I LOVE SHOES!!

Ty & Jax

I Love this picture!!

I took this photo this morning. The boys were restless and jumping all over Jody, I and each other. It is rare they stay still long enough for a photo, especially a photo together. I love that they both have their heads tilted! So cute!!
